Process several Excel workbooks in one go
Every branch's workbook to turn into values before sending, the month's reports to rid of their links and comments: tick the fixes once, drop all the workbooks, and get an archive back.
What this tool does
- The fixes of the single-file tools, to combine: formulas to values, external links broken, cells unmerged, workbook slimmed down, properties, comments, printer settings and macros removed.
- Each workbook is read back and compared with the original after the fix, as in the single-file tool; one that fails the check is not delivered.
- A summary in the archive: for each workbook, processed, nothing to fix, protected, unreadable or set aside, with its size before and after.
- The ticked fixes are saved as a recipe, to open again next month.
What it does not do: The settings apply to every sheet of every workbook: to convert only some sheets, use the Formulas to values tool, one workbook at a time. Hidden sheets are neither deleted nor shown.
