Convert a PDF to Excel or CSV
A statement, an invoice, a report exported as a PDF: the figures are there, but impossible to rework. The tool reads the PDF's text and its layout to rebuild the tables, page by page, in your browser.
What this tool does
- The tables recovered page by page, aligned into rows and columns.
- Numbers read as numbers (comma or dot decimal, parentheses for negatives).
- Export to Excel (one sheet per page), CSV or ODS.
- Everything happens in the tab: the PDF never leaves your device.
- For digital PDFs, produced by software. A scanned PDF is an image, with no text to extract.
What it does not do: The tool does not read scanned PDFs (images): there is no character recognition. Column rebuilding follows the text alignment; a very irregular table may need a pass of “Clean a report export” afterwards.
No file is uploaded. Turn off your network once this page has loaded: the tool keeps working. How to check it yourself.
Other tools
- Open a large file : Over a million rows, several gigabytes: browse, filter, sort, export.
- Automatic pivot table : Useful pivots suggested, dates grouped, the table and its chart.
- Summarise a column : The distinct values of a column and their count, with a total or an average if needed.
- SQL queries : SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY on your files, with no database.
- Unpivot or pivot : One column per month becomes one row per month, and the reverse.
